Hospital Background

The hospital is built on a one acre plot along Jomo Kenyatta Avenue Mombasa.

The land and building are leased on a 5yr renewable lease from the Anglican Church of Kenya. Mombasa Diocese.

Outreach / Social Responsibility

The hospital has an active out reach in community work which includes giving community talks, family planning, HIV / AIDS talks, reproductive health and child welfare clinic. The target area is the sprawling Majengo and Tudor areas.

Maji Ya Chumvi – Miritini Highway

Makupa Hospital was the HIV/AIDS Consulting Hospital during the reconstruction of the Maji ya Chumvi Miritini Highway in 2007.

During this intervention, hundreds of workers and citizens living along the highway HIV/AIDS hot spots were given HIV/AIDS counseling talks and testing and medical treatment . Makupa Hospital continues to be involved in various community based projects as a form of corporate responsibility.

UPDATE 2008/9

We offer general medical care, emergency care, emergencies e.g. road accidents and factory accidents.
There is a 24 Hour pharmacy and surgeon on call. Other specialists are available on request.

Makupa Hospital has special psychiatric treatment drug rehabilitation unit, BEMEHU viz Better Mental Health Unit –for psychiatric cases.
The quiet surrounding and lush green gardens make recuperation peaceful at the Makupa Hospital.

Makupa Hospital is strategically placed along Jomo Kenyatta Avenue, Mombasa just before the Makupa Causeway it making very easy for private or public communication to the facility.
The hospital has aggressive community intervention progranmes which include immunization and family planning.
You can choose to have credit time on paying some deposit or have prepaid scheme for your workers.
